Mission

Prepared to build on a proven record of success in the 2008, SwimMAC has expanded  its efforts to  develop a permanent world class Elite Training Program here in Charlotte.  This program  focuses solely on the unique training and professional needs of post collegiate athletes, as well as selected high school and college athletes, preparing to achieve national and  international swimming success.

The mission of SwimMAC Carolina's Team Elite is to assist the United States Olympic Committee and USA Swimming to maintain its position as the world's preeminent swimming power at international and Olympic competitions.  It is our expectation to help the USA team earn more medals in the 2012 London Olympics.

Success

SwimMAC's success is unparalleled in this region, spanning more than three decades, and serves as the perfect environment for elite athletes to achieve their full potential.

SwimMAC is paving the way for elite athletes in our area, as well as for those who chose to relocate to our community, to maximize their training opportunities, and  to assure each athlete achieves their optimum swimming success nationally and internationally.

In 2008 Team Elite had 22 Athletes qualify to compete at the 2008 Olympic Trials. Three athletes earned spots on the 2008 Olympic Swim Team, all earning Gold Medals!

Passion

It is not enough to be successful in the pool, SwimMAC Elite Athletes are required to be involved in our community and expected to mentor children of all ages regarding the life skills developed through swimming.   As local and national ambassadors of health, fitness, and strong character, SwimMAC Team Elite members are active civic partners in and out of the water.
