Swim School
For over twenty-five years, MAC has enriched the lives of thousands of Charlotte area children with its exceptional competitive and learn-to-swim programs. MAC is pleased to offer the SwimAmerica program at the MAC at Charlotte Latin School facility location in South Charlotte and HFFA [Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics] located on 11725 Verhoeff Road Huntersville,NC 28070.
SwimAmerica learn-to-swim program is designed to foster the proper instruction of swimming at all levels. Instruction focuses on the concept of proper stroke technique that eventually leads to excellence in competitive swimming.
SwimAmerica is comprised of 10 learning stations. Each station has specific skills sets. Each student is evaluated on his/her skills daily. When the student has demonstrated proficiency in all skills for that station, they move to the next station.
SwimAmerica is GOAL-DRIVEN. Each learning station serves to reinforce the skills previously mastered and motivates the student to achieve beyond his/her own immediate expectation. SwimAmerica is TECHINQUE-ORIENTED. Good swimming is good swimming. The SwimAmerica program makes no distinction between competitive and recreational swimming.
