What is Meet Squad?
Meet Squad is a points program which ensures staffing at SwimMAC hosted meets and enables those meets to run smoothly. Every SwimMAC family on the competitive team has a point goal to reach based on their highest level swimmer. Families earn their points by volunteering at any SwimMAC hosted meet.
Here are some parent comments from the 2008-2009 season:
"We appreciate the opportunity to volunteer at swim meets in order to curb costs and we are thankful for those individuals who have worked so hard to make this availabe to us!"
"This year it was much easier to get signed up for meets online and positions were available. Job well done!"
Some features of the "Meet Squad" program include:
- Save Money! Hosting home meets raises money and keeps our member's dues at a resonable level.
- Better Meet Experiences! SwimMAC has the reputation of running successful, timely meets - and this is due to the efforts of our volunteers.
- Support your swimmer! What a great way to show your athletes that you support their efforts by participating in their swim meets.
- Only one required meet! The Charlotte UltraSwim is the only "required" meet in the program for Silver level and above families.
- Easy meet sign-up and point tracking! All meet positions will earn the same number of points. Some meets will be worth 100 points per session and others will be worth 200 points. Members can sign-up for positions or view how many points they have been credited and how many points they still need on the SwimMAC website under 'Meet Participation Signup' located on the left-hand navigation of the homepage.
- Award levels! Members can aspire to become a MAC Daddy, MAC Meet Master, or MAC Meet Pro if they earn more than their minimum Meet Squad point totals. We have awarded $5000 in cash and prizes over the last 2 years to these awesome overachievers!
Be sure to read and print out all of the Meet Squad program materials located here on the new SwimMAC website, including the Point Requirements Chart, the Meet Squad Meet Calendar and the Award Levels Chart.
