OverviewDesigned for ages 6 to 12 years, these classes focus on developing the skill set needed for swimming. Techniques learned include freestyle, side breathing, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
Blue-G2Recommended for swimmers who are uncomfortable with the water (will not put face in, don't want to go in water over head, etc).
Yellow-G5Swimmers should be able to swim 10 yards of freestyle and do 5–10 yards of backstroke kicking.
Green-G6Swimmers should be able to do 15–20 yards of freestyle with bilateral breathing and maintain a streamline position while kicking on both stomach & back.
White-G7Swimmer should be able to swim 20–25 yards freestyle and backstroke and have a proper dolphin kick.
Silver-G8Swimmers should be proficient in freestyle and backstroke (or completed all prior G levels). Recommendation required.
Gold-Olympic StrokesSwimmers should be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke (or completed all prior G levels). Recommendation required.
Junior Swim League (JSL)SwimMAC’s Junior Swim League offers a chance for your child to improve technique in all 4 strokes with individual attention from highly qualified coaches, gain endurance & strength, and have fun with swimming! JSL has been a stepping stone from lessons or summer league to competitive swimming for many of our current SwimMAC athletes.
