On Sunday, June 7th 50 + Bronze and Silver swimmers join the SwimMAC Coaching Staff at Camp Hemby YMCA. During Camp Streamline the swimmers received great insight on one of the most important skills that can be taught, streamlining and breakouts. There is no other point in a race where you are as fast as you are pushing off the wall or diving off a block. Swimmers went over streamlines for all four strokes during the day. Along with ‘in the water' teaching Bronze and Silver enjoyed the Camp Hemby experienced playing team building activities on the soccer fields and have a snack in the picnic area. Parents also had the opportunity to have a good discussion about swimmers ages 10-14 and the maturation process in swimming for those ages. It was a great day for everyone and we would like to thank Camp Hemby YMCA & Carolyn Southers in helping bring a wonderful experience to SwimMAC Coaches and athletes.
